Bob Lanphere’s Beaverton Motorcycles, located on 10380 SW Cascade Ave in Tigard, Oregon, has successfully recertified their location with EcoBiz. Bob Lanphere Enterprises, which owns several automotive franchises in the Portland Metro area, has repeatedly demonstrated how dealerships can incorporate sustainable practices that are both environmentally and economically sound. Certified since 2015, Bob Lanphere’s Beaverton Motorcycles is the first motorcycle company to achieve EcoBiz certification, leading the way for others.

During PPRC’s second visit with Bob Lanphere’s Beaverton Motorcycles, Bob Lanphere’s staff learned new methods that would decrease the health risks of their staff and help the environment without breaking the bank. Some of the methods discussed that were adopted include:

  • Refill of spill kits (available during every EcoBiz site visit)
  • Prevention and preparation for spills by keeping spill kits in areas where liquids are stored and transferred, and posting a spill plan
  • Confirmation that their wash bay was permitted with Clean Water Services, following with moving washing activities inside
  • Confirmation that the outside oil tanks are double walled

EcoBiz continues to look forward to working with Bob Lanphere’s automotive locations on achieving certification, as well as learning from their leadership in the industry. Learn more from Bob Lanphere Enterprises at:
